but what about the ravens game, huh? football weather. we'll talk all about it in our insta weather plus forecast coming up our big story this morning is first lady michelle obama's visit to baltimore. she spoke to a sold out crowd at a fund-raising event at morgan state university. tv cameras weren't allowed inside that venue but those who paid to get in said the first lady got a rock star reception. >> it was beyond anything i have ever heard. i never heard anyone walk on a stage and get such an eruption of powerful love. >> some of the 2,000 supporters who packed the murphy fine arts center describe a loud and long explosion of cheers as first lady michelle obama took the stage. >> it did really erupt. she hardly could get started talking and people just wouldn't even let her stop. >> only print journalists were allowed inside, no tv cameras allowed, but supporters shared

some pictures as they explained the consistent themes of the first lady's speech. most say she focussed a lot of education and health care. >> talking about students receiving aid and grants. i'm a graduating senior. i go to school on federal aid. if it wasn't for the bills that barack obama has passed, i would be unable to attend. so that was a highlight. >> attendees had a choice of tickets with prices ranging from $100 to $10,000. the $100 tickets were reserved for young professionals. those inside describe a multigenerational crowd. and morgan state choir performed and a senior at the university officially introduced the first lady to supporters. the e ven was first announced late last month. organizers say a spontaneous group of maryland citizens came together and recall tloid get the first lady to baltimore and morgan state university. >> a lot of planning. a lot of hope and joy about the upcoming election. and to know that the first lady of the entire united states is coming to baltimore in support of her husband and the

democratic party is a great joy for us. >> in baltimore, wbal tv 11 news. this morning mitt romney has released his latest tax returns for 2011 to prove that he paid a rate of at least 13%. in fact, it was 14% last year. 11 news reporter steve handlesman has more. >> mitt romney paid far less tax than he predicted he would pay. when his taxes became an issue last winter. but less than he legally had to in 2011. he made $13.7 million mostly from investments. he donated $4 million to charity. but he only deducted $2.25 million. so he paid $1.9 million, 14.1% in federal income taxes. in las vegas today, romney didn't talk about his taxes. instead claiming he would be the real change president. >> president obama raised up the white flag of surrender again

yesterday. he said you can't change washington from the inside. you have to do it from the outside. we're gonna give him that chance. >> earlier today in virginia, president obama fired back at romney. >> change takes more than one term or even one president. and it certainly takes more than one party. it can't happen if you write off half the nation before you even took office. >> that's an obama reminder that romney was caught on tape criticizing 47% of americans who pay no federal income tax. but he said feel entitled to benefits. the president made his view clear. via satellite to an aarp meeting in new orleans. >> i want to emphasize, medicare and social security are not handouts. you've paid into these programs your whole lives. >> the new nbc marist poll finds the president ahead in three swing states, the poll taken after the secret tape went viral but before today's revelation

to date information for state loshg call and national elections. one man is dead this morning after an early morning stabbing in west baltimore. it happened around 2:00 in the morning in the 2700 block of west north avenue. police say that's where they found a 34-year-old man ton ground unresponsive. we're told he had stab wounds to his upper body and was take ton shock trauma but died minutes later. so far there's no word on a suspect or possible motive. meanwhile, an update to a west baltimore shooting in broad daylight. police say the gun man chased down 24-year-old audi miggens and kept shooting even when miggens was lying on the ground opinion it happened 2:30 thursday afternoon on pressman street. homicide detectives are still searching for that shooter. they believe he tossed the weapon nearby before running off. we have more information this morning about a couple of serious crashes that we first brought you as breaking news. first along i 97. sky team 11 was over that scene

around 4:15 friday afternoon. that crash involved two cars and a pickup truck. only one lane was open, causing major delays. but all lanes have since reopened. police say one victim was taken to the hospital but died sometime later. over the scene of another accident in harper county around 5:30 friday. officials say while traveling northbound i 95 just after route 22, a vehicle rolled over multiple times ejected the driver from the ca the driver was take ton the hospital in grave condition. no word on what caused that driver to lose control. enough is enough. that's what state and local lawmakers are saying about a baltimore county business. officials say that establishment is a detriment to the community. 11 news reporter george lennox explains why. >> it's a real problem. >> it's been the scene of two murders in two months. now baltimore county councilman david marks is joining four state lawmakers in urging the county's liquor board to take

action against tv's place bar and lounge. >> we're not interested in shutting it down and putting the owner out of business but we think there could be a cooling off period. >> which could mean a suspension of the bar's liquor license. the latest i.n.s. den was september 1st when police say a 25-year-old fatally stabbed one of the bouncers tavares jones who was trying to break up a large fight. county officials say for the past several years there have been, coat, a copius amount of unfortunate amount of issues including after parties in the park lot which they say attributes to too much noise and litter. >> security's the big thing. they need to consider whether they need to close down at an earlier hour. they need to consider whether they'll have a security presence there. >> a few patrons said tb should hire more security but say the government is overreacting. they say the owner does a lot for the community, including hosting barbecues in the parking lot. no comment from neither the bar's management nor the bar's

it is officially fall at 10:49 this morning. summer is gone. fall is here. it's gonna feel like fall tomorrow during the ravens game. tell you about that in just a little bit. as far as temperatures yesterday, right oon the normal mark. 77 yesterday. average 76 at the airport. low about the same. 53. the average 56. look at that record temperature back in 1931. 96 degrees. none of that in the forecast. as cooler temperatures are right behind a front that we're gonna see. we'll see it to you in just a minute. current temperatures 69, 674 at the airport, 62 up in parkton, westminster 63. cooler spots, frederick 59 degrees. down in ocean city, 57. 63 degrees. your forecast today. looks pretty warm though. this might be one of the last really warm days we've seen in awhile. 82 to 86 under partly cloudy skies. mild as the front moves through.

we'll get a 40% chance of showers and possibly a rumble of thunder into the evening hours. our current weather shows clear conditions. not a cloud in the sky right now. that will change as the afternoon moves on. and here is why. this little system up here over in western pennsylvania will make its way through as the day progresses. the southwest winds will help keep this front, the low i should say, the surface low torque the north of us so that front could break up as it moves across the mountains. nevertheless, it will still give us about a 40% chance of rain as the day moves on. and there's a bunch of cool, cool air behind this. so that's gonna really change things as we head into monday and tuesday. especially monday evening for the ravens game. future cast shows how this all breaks down. the clouds move through this evening. then it clears up again. partly cloudy, cloudy. then around 7:00, 8:00 we start seeing a chance of rain

possibly. possibly heavier rain down south of the greater baltimore area. but with this though we have to watch for some chances of some thunder and lightning. and then once the day goes on, moves through and we're clear into sunday for the ravens game. tonight, 57 to 61 under mostly cloudy skies. 40% chance of rain. northwest winds 10 to 15 miles per hour. and then here's what i'm talking about. 54 degrees probably for kickoff for that ravens game. so that will really feel like fall. then monday, still cool, only about 67 degrees. as we head into the week, we get chances of rain wednesday and thursday. temperatures look pretty good. mid 70s. anticipation gave way to the arrival friday as apple's i phone 5 officially hit stores in the u.s. and several other countries around the world. this was the scene though along fleet street at the verizon store in harbor east. we're told there was an even bigger line down the street at

big change because of a front that's making its way into this area. and with it, behind it, some cooler weather, which will arrive just in time for the ravens game. taking a look at hd doppler right now. there's a little tiny bit of shower activity. you can see that it kind of outlines the front there that's making its way there through west virginia and the charleston area. just a couple showers. that front's gonna make its way here later this afternoon into the evening hours. behind it some cooler weather. by the way, the first day of fall today officially at 10:49 a.m. taking a quick look at the conditions at the airport. it is 64 degrees. light winds out of the east at three miles per hour. big cooldown on the way. we'll take a look at the front and show why it will happen in your instant weather forecast. taking a look at some of the top stories. a baltimore county police officer is recovering this

morning after being injured in a fast moving fire. fire crews were called to the scene of this apartment complex around 11:15 friday morning. we're told a woman and her baby were trapped inside one of those units, but crews were able to rescue them just in time. the police officer said injuries are minor and the woman has been treated for smoke inhalation. investigators are working to figure out what caused that fire. fire investigators in baltimore county all looking into another fire. this one at a home in windsor mill just hours before. crews were called to the 3600 block of cliffmar road around 8:15 yesterday morning. that's where they found flames shooting from the kitchen of the house. two people inside were able to get out just in the nick of time thank to their neighbors who warned them. authoritys can not confirm the extent of their injuries, but we do know they were take ton northwest hospital. have you seen this man? this morning, police need your help to find him. he's a suspect in an armed robbery.

city police say he robbed a 7-11 located in the 5700 block of bel air road at gun point tuesday, september 4th. as you can see, he's bald. he's wearing a white tank top in this picture and blue jeans. he did have glasses on. anyone that may be able to help locate this man is asked to call 1866-7-lockup. a hostage situation in downtown pittsburgh has ended peacefully. authorities say the 22-year-old suspect surrendered after holding the hostage for more than five hours yesterday. according to police, thaxton posted updates on facebook during the standoff. he owned the company where he was held was not hurt. it's unclear why the suspect chose the hostage. 25-year-old man is in critical condition after

climbing a tiger exhibit at the bronx zoo. the man was riding a monorail when he hopped the fence into the tiger's den. emergency workers pulled him out but not before the man was mauled by the tiger. according to reports the man had one of his feet nearly ripped off. workers pulled the tiger off of him. >> is the tiger going to be put down? >> no. the tiger did nothing wrong. did nothing wrong in this situation. >> the tiger involved was a 400 pound 11-year-old syberian tiger. what did he think wu going to happen, jumping into a tiger's cage? >> i don't know. >> well, he found out. still ahead, concerns over graduation numbers for african-american males. we'll explain why. after 25 missions that stretched more than 120 million miles, it has landed for one final time. what's next in storied history

difference in temperatures. low 50s here ahead of it we're in the 60s and 70s. once it moves through the lower temperatures will hit us in the greater baltimore area. future cast to give us an idea what we're looking at as far as precipitation. cloudy conditions throughout the afternoon. around 7 or 8, 8:30, we start seeing the line of showers move through. then as the evening progresses, maybe a spotty shower here and there. but then it looks good as we head into your sunday. if you're heading out this evening, maybe bring an umbrella. it's just a hit or miss situation here. 40% chance of showers. temperatures will be 67 degrees. as we said for the ravens game, bundle up. 54 degrees. only highs about 67 degrees. tuesday is nice. then chances of rain both wednesday and thursday. not a wash out. just some spotty showers. we'll keep an eye on the

african-american males. it's shocking when you see that high school graduation rate is low. >> these students are part of a targeted program which helps them prepare for graduation. >> when i came to this program, it really taught me a lot about college. lot of things they told me my parents told me. they didn't really go to college. >> this particular program is connected to abbott, which stands for academics individual determination. >> programs like this are an improvement with not on african-american males but students in general. just getting them thinking about college is where we need to start. >> it's more of us as brothers, so we do things outside of class. >> but back in class, the goal is to raise the graduation numbers even more across the county. >> the number's low. nationwide it's good but our expectations are a lot higher. i know we can do a lot more and do better i think under the leadership of dr. dans, we're

'cause you know what's around the corner. >> you've got your fall tie on. >> my colleague loves the winter so he's very excited about this. me, not so much. it means the end of golf season. doppler showing the evidence of a front that's moving through the west virginia area. that will approach our area later today and into the evening hours giving us a slight chance of rain. as far as your day planner is concerned, by 8:00 we'll have temperatures around 70 with partly cloudy conditions. by noon, we'll remain partly cloudy, get a little warmer

around 79. then as we head into the afternoon and evening hours increasing clouds and 84 degrees. once that front moves through, behind it there is much cooler air. i'll tell you all about it in a couple of minutes. our big story this morning first lady michelle obama visits baltimore. she spoke to a sold out crowd at a fund-raising event at morgan state university. >> those who paid to get in tell 11 news that the first lady got a rock star reception. >> it was beyond anything i have ever heard. i never heard anyone walk on a stage and get such an eruption of powerful love. >> some of the 2,000 supporters who packed the murphy fine arts center described a loud and long explosion of cheers as first lady michelle obama took the stage. >> it did really erupt. she hardly could get started

talking and they wouldn't even let her talk. >> only print journalists were allowed inside for the sold out speech. no tv cameras allowed. supporters shared some pictures with us as they explained the consistent themes of the first lady's speech. most say she focussed a lot on education and health care. >> college students receiving financial aid and pell grants. i'm a student. i go to school on federal aid. if it wasn't for the bills that barack obama has passed, i would be unable to attend. so that was a highlight. >> attendees had a choice of tickets with prices ranging from $100 to $10,000. the $100 tickets were reserved for young professionals. those inside describe a multigenerational crowd. morgan state choir performed, and a senior at the university officially introduced the first lady to supporters. the event was first announced last month. a spontaneous group of maryland citizens came together and rallied to get the first lady to baltimore and morgan state university. >> a lot of planning. a lot of hope and joy about the

upcoming election. and to know that the first lady of the entire united states is coming to baltimore in support of her husband and the democratic party is a great joy for us. >> in baltimore, ky reed, wbal tv 11 news. >> we're getting a better glimpse of the financial picture mit and ann romney after his campaign released the couple's tack returns. we have details from washington. >> mitt romney's tax returns back in the headlines. his campaign releasing them for 2011 showing the nominee earned more than $13 million mostly from investment income. of that, he paid about $2 million in taxes for a rate of 14%. it comes as the candidate steps up appearances on the trail and attacks on president obama. >> he said he can't change washington from inside. he can on change it from outside. well, we're gonna give him that chance in november. he's going outside. >> it was romney's rapid

response to the president. >> you can't change washington just from the inside. you change it from the outside. >> but in virginia, mr. obama brought his own come back to his rival's remix. >> he stood up at a rally, proudly declared, i'll get the job done from the inside. what kind of inside job is he talking about? >> the sparring also continued in new orleans. >> a voucher program is not going to be a good deal. >> where the president and paul ryan vied for votes at an aarp conference. >> the first step to a stronger medicare is to repeal obama care because it represents the worst of both worlds. >> political analyst mark sandelow on the significance of senior support. >> doesn't matter if you're 75 or 25, the difference is old people vote. they vote in much greater proportion than younger people. >> mitt romney, at 65, his campaign also released a health report from his doctor, who declared the candidate is

healthy and physically fit to meet the rigorous demands of the presidency. in washington, nicole killion, wbal news. the ballot will be cluttered with referendum questions. the reverend al sharpton joined black clergy members to disspell the idea that all african-american ministers oppose same sex marriage. they say this is a civil rights issue adding that debate belongs in church, not government. but opponents say he du not speak for the entire african-american community. >> i think many in the baptist faith and even the community would say he's gone renegade with this issue. i don't think he holds clout. >> that was pastor mccoy adding that internal polling indicates that more voters oppose same sex marriage than support it. please remember you can get the latest political news on our website.

one man's dead this morning after an early morning stabbing in west baltimore. it happened around 2 a.m. in the 2700 block of west north avenue. police say that's where they found a 34-year-old man on the ground unresponsive. we're told that he had stab wounds to his upper body. he was take ton shock trauma but later died. police have not yet identified the victims. there's no word on a possible suspect or motive. an update for a west baltimore shooting that happened in broad daylight. police say the gun man chased down 24-year-old audi miggens and kept shooting. even when miggens was lying on the ground. it happened around 2:30 thur day afternoon in the 1700 block of preston street. homicide detectives are still searching for the shooter. they believe he tossed the weapon nearby before running off. we have more information this morning about a couple of serious crashes that we first brought you with breaking news. the first was along i 97 south in annapolis. sky team 11 was over the scene

friday afternoon. that crash very serious involved two cars and a pickup truck. only one lane was open, causing big-time delays. but all lanes have since been reopened. police say one victim was take ton the hospital but that victim died a short time later. sky team 11 was over the accident scene around 5:30 yesterday. while traveling northbound on i 95 just after route 22 a vehicle rolled over multiple times ej t ejecting that driver from the car. the driver was take ton the hospital in grave condition. there's no word on what caused the driver to lose control. enough is enough. that's what state and local lawmakers are saying about a baltimore county business. officials say the establishment is a detriment to the community. 11 knew reporter explains why. >> it's a real problem. the residents asked us to help. that's why we got involved. >> the scene of two murders in two months, now david marks is joining four state lawmakers in urging the county's liquor board

to take action against tb's place bar and lounge. >> we're not interested in shutting it down and putting the owner out of business, but we do think there should be a cooling off period. >> which could mean a suspension of the parkville bar's liquor license. the latest incident was september 1st when police say a 25-year-old heyward twice fatally stabbed one of the bouncers, tavares jones, who was trying to break up a large fight. county officials say for the past several years there have been, quote, a copious amount of issues including after parties in the pashing lot, which they say attributes to too much noise and litter. >> security is the big thing. they need to consider whether they need to close down at an earlier hour. whether they're going to have a security presence there. >> a few patrons told us tb's should hire more security but say the government is overreacting. they say the owner rodney barnes does a lot for the community, including hosting barbecues in the parking lot. and no comment from neither of

low temperature 53 at the airport and the average is 56 degrees. current temperatures right now. we saw that one degree drop at the airport. westminster 63. parkton 62. haguers town 65 degrees. down in annapolis 69, ocean city 67 and chestertown 66 degrees. we'll be in the 80s later today. 82 to 86, to be exact. partly cloudy conditions. mild still, but that's gonna change as we head into sunday and monday. a 40% chance of an evening shower as the front makes its way through. current conditions right now show clear conditions over the greater baltimore area. couple clouds out west that we will see increasing clouds as the afternoon progresses because of this front and a low that's situated over western pennsylvania. the good news though, because of this southwest wind, that's gonna push the front higher, much more north of the area, and though heavier rains that you see right there in western pennsylvania up into western new

york that will not hit us. however, there is a slight chance that when the front moves through, as it breaks up over the mountains, we will see precipitation. a shower, possibly a rumble of thunder. there's the cool cool air that is behind this front which will be with us just in time for the ravens game. future cast shows the cloudy conditions throughout the day, then clearing. then as we head into the afternoon again clouds and a couple spotty showers. 8, 9:00 those showers will move through. don't be surprised to hear a rumble of thunder or see some lightning. then as you see as we head into sunday those clear conditions come back. as far as the rest of the state. again, 80s for us. 80s down south. 70s up north. low 70s out into the mountains. if you're heading out on the town tonight, 57 to 61 degrees again. just keep an eye out for those spotty showers. and then for the ravens game, kickoff, i think we're going to be in the low 50s. bundle up for that. those cool conditions stay with

computer, hoping to score tickets for the post season. all playoff tickets must be purchased online at the orioles website, and you can buy eight at once. >> people, you know, say, hey, we want to come to the first playoff game at camden yards in awhile. if that's the case, unfortunately, you will need to buy two tickets. for the wild card and division series game one because we don't know at this point if we would get the wild card or the division title. >> but, hopefully, one of them. tickets to a potential wild card game and the first game of the division series are expected to go fast. season ticket holders and those selected for the presale had the first crack at it. the orioles will issue refunds for games that aren'ted played. instead of taking it, you could show faith the orioles magic will continue into next season. >> the option would be to roll it into a season ticket plan for 2013 if you would choose to do that. >> i just want the fans to fill the ball park. if it's full and i have to watch it at home, that's cool.

humidity around 90%. winds are calm and down at the inner harbor, it is 68 degrees under clear conditions. once that front moves through, a lot of cool air behind it will bring us some spectacular football weather for the ravens game sunday. i'll tell you all about it on your weather plus forecast. taking a look at some of the top stories. a baltimore county police officer recovering this morning after being injured in a fast moving fire. fire crews were called to the scene of this apartment complex around 11:15 friday morning. we're told a woman and her baby were trapped inside one of the units. the police officer's injuries are minor and the woman is being treated for smoke inhalation. investigators are working to determine a cause. fire investigators are also investigating a fire at the home -- at a home in windsor mills. just hours before, crews were

called to cliff mar road around 8:15 yesterday morning where flames were shooting from the kitchen of the home. two people inside were able to get out just in the nick of time thanks to neighbors. authorities could not confirm the extent of their jiryes, but we know they were take ton northwest hospital. have you seen this man? police need your help finding him. he's a suspect in an armed robbery. city police say he robbed the 7-11 located on bel air road at gun point tuesday september 4th. and as you can see, he has a bald head, wearing a white tank top and some jeans and wears glasses. anyone who may be able to help locate the man is asked to call 1866-7-lockup. zoned as a catering establishment but some neighbors say it operates more like a nightclub. barry simms has more on the on going dispute between vision catering and banquet hall and how baltimore city is stepping in. >> the owner of visions catering and banquet hall in hamilton

northeast baltimore and some of the facilities neighbors aren't seeing eye to eye. >> this has not been fun by a long shot. it's been a struggle. if i could have walked away, i would have walked away. but if you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything. >> homeowners are also standing their ground. complaints from the community include large crowds, large noise. >> parking is horrendous. if you don't get home within a specific time you don't have a place to park. >> this was formerly an american legion hall. it has been transformed into a child care facility. linda brown said she's tried to work with the community. signs ask patrons to exit quietly and leave the neighborhood immediately after an event. >> i have asked them repeatedly, what is it that you want? what do you want? >> the dispute, according to brown started in 2010 after her home which was ton property burned down. then in december of that year, after an event had ended, someone began shooting outside

the banquet hall. a 25-year-old man was killed. questions arose about the hall's licenses, permits and the groups being aloud to rent the facility. to end the issues council members are calling for the banquet hall to close 10 p.m. sunday through thursday and 1 a.m. friday and saturday. >> i think it will allow these folks to operate there. >> maximum capacity will be set at 200. a long term parking arrangement mandating off street parking for 25 or more cars and one to four security guards depending on the number of guests if alcohol beverages are advertised dispensed or sold. >> who's going to maintain this? who baby-sits these amendments? >> linda brown said she will comply with conditions. >> the neighbors got to understand if the conditions are violated, the stringent conditions, i want to say, are violated, then there is an avenue for revoking use of the property. >> both conditions will be

>> the final shuttle flight has ended. endeavor made the trip to the west coast. 11 news reporter jay gray has a look at the history making flight and a look ahead at the

controversial road trip for endeavor. >> it is the final flight for endeavor. one last victory. for nasa and the entire shuttle fleet. >> it was incredible. absolutely incredible the amount of human knowledge that goes into this thing. >> after 25 missions that stretched across more than 120 miles in space, this time endeavor was a passenger strapped to the top of a 747 as it sailed above the california coast, dipping down to salute more than 20 land marks along the way. >> that was just so awesome. the last time we're going see space shuttle endeavor in the air. to have it come fly over my home town in sacramento. >> from sacramento to san francisco and this classic image of the orbiter framed by the golden gate bridge. then a touch of the dramatic as endeavor soared past the hollywood sign before landing for the last time at los angeles international airport.

after a few weeks of final preparations, endeavor will move to its permanent hanger at the california science center but that 12-mile trip through the streets of south l.a. could be one of the orbiter's most controversial journeys. cutting a path for the massive five story 78 foot wide spacecraft means losing at least 400 trees. >> that's stupid. that's stupid. why cut them down? >> officials with the science center say it's their only option, dismantling the ship or air lifting it in just won't work in a museum, and they've promised to plant twice as many trees as they cut down. >> not only do we get to participate in history but we get our trees replaced two for one. >> i'm really excited to see the endeavor. it's a once in a life time chance. i'm glad to see it happen. >> a glimpse of history as endeavor comes to rest along the west coast. jay gray, wbal tv 11 news.

here's a look from the grand hotel and spa in ocean city where they're waking up to pretty nice day out on the ocean front. 64 at the airport. 67 down in ocean city. at the airport though still rather humid. winds are calm. humidity will change as the front moves through here in the later afternoon, early evening hours. 62 parkton. little chilly there in frederick. 59 degrees. over on the eastern shore ocean city 63. easton 64 degrees. our current weather shows a little bit of cloud cover in the western portions of the viewing area. but pretty much clear conditions are what we're seeing. we'll have cloudy conditions throughout the day as this front here that is part of a low that is sitting over western pennsylvania right now moves

through here. so, don't be surprised to see clouds, sun, clouds sun throughout the day and then a chance for showers as we head into the evening hours. the good news here because of the southwest wind, that's gonna push this low here up into northern pennsylvania and southern new york. so that will keep the rain out of here. spotty showers as the front moves through. the news though that everyone is talking about anyway is that with fall here, by the way at 10:49 this morning, cool, cool air behind this front. that's gonna give us some very chili temperatures as we head into the ravens game topping out in the low 50s. we could see 49, 48 before that thing is all done. just to show you what we're looking at behind this front, you can see the dividing line. these are low temperatures right now. 40s, some 30s up here into the wisconsin area. then as we look at us, we're still in some mild temperatures.

mid 60s, 70s here and there. it will be around 80 today. 82 to be exact, to 86 under partly cloudy conditions. mild though. as i said, chance of shower once that front moves through. future cast shows that i was talking about. clouds and sun. clouds again. we start seeing the precipitation moving in around 7:00 through 9:00. just keep an eye on this stuff. with that front moving through and the temperatures as mild as they've been, there's chance of thunder and lightning. don't be surprised if you hear that. as we head into the late evening hours early morning into sunday, we see nice clear conditions for sunday. if you're heading out this evening just be aware of the rain. 57 to 61 under mostly cloudy skies. we'll give it a 40% chance of showers again. nothing too much to worry about. just be aware you could hear a rumble of thunder. everyone wants to know about the ravens game. once that front moves through

it's going to bring briey and cool conditions. i think by kickoff, we'll be in the low 50s. as we head throughout the game, don't be surprised if you see some temperatures topping out around 49, 50. you want to bring a jacket. we keep those cool conditions as we head through monday. about 67 degrees again. just a reminder, it's cool. it's now fall. officially cool. and tuesday, we're in the low 70s. next chance for rain wednesday and thursday. won't be a washout. temperatures in the mid 70s. in this morning's education alert a national report just out shows that just 67% of baltimore county's african-american males finished high school last year. that's according to the scott foundation for public education. baltimore county's african-american males graduation rate is fourth in the nation, but trails montgomery county and school districts in new jersey and north carolina. a wood lawn high school program

time for a look at fitness. joining us is an aquatic trainer at the maryland athletic club. good morning. >> good morning. >> who is this? >> this is jj. >> and jj does training? >> he does the aquatic therapy. he started out with a back injury then came to me for aquatic therapy.

now he du aquatic personal training. we stepped it up a little bit. >> i guess my understanding is that everything you do out of the water you can do in the water. >> absolutely. just add an extra strength training for the resistance. you can work the core. we have an aqua step here. all of these things that we have here are used in the water so you have to understand that this stuff is in the water. the water's about waist level. he's 50% less impacted. which means only 50% of his body weight is impacting his joints. >> standing on this doing balanceing? >> totally. >> for example what? >> one of the things that we do together, we take the ball. he would stand -- i'm only gonna do it with two legs. usually in the water he does it with one leg. he does squats. we just ball toss and squat. >> okay. this doesn't look like it's very difficult, but in the water -- >> he's on one leg in the water. >> in the water -- i guess the idea is that the water doesn't make it feel as difficult?

it's better for people who have issues with knees or hips? >> yes. you use 50% less impact. he only has 50% of his body weight impacting his joints. >> all right. what's this? >> this is our aqua joggers. he uses these in the water as well. these are pretty much our highest resistance in the water. so with these, he can kind of push and pull with the back an core. pushing in marks the chest, pulling out works the chest. he can do lat exercises as well. resistance is pushing both directions. >> this is just as good as lifting weights. >> it's better, absolutely, for sure. >> what else can you do in the water? >> we brought along with us our bands. thee are for hydropilates. put these on your ankles. >> demonstrate that jj.

>> i'll put one on with him. >> i'm not gonna put any on. >> i use these also. because the tie, you can go around. i use this one at the end. you can do anything in the water with this. basically, stands on it. you can put one on each leg. do chris crosses. if you hold this, you can do some ham string curls and a bicep curl. you have the resistance of the water. people are swimming next to you. you have the balance pushing you. you have to work on your core and keep everything nice and tight. >> what about running? all kinds of other things you can do in the water. have you put on something while you're running. >> absolutely. he holds the actual weight. he jogs in the water. pushes hard. we do a lot of fitness classes. we have weight management.
